First gig tonight.  As a result, life kicked my butt and I couldn’t keep pace with the Internet. There was a bunch of stuff I wanted to read but didn’t get a chance to, which are saved in an e-mail and I’ll be perusing them as soon as possible.
  • The Shutter Island soundtrack is actually pretty good.
  • Oh man, I so relate.
  • I hyped this on Monday, but its that good. Corey Dargel’s Last Words from Texas. The Times also did a feature on him which I thought was a little thin on insights into his life, but maybe you’ll want to seek that out as well.
  • EVERYTHING HAPPENING IN NYC FOR THE NEXT MONTH. Not for the easily overwhelmed.
  • On single composer concerts. I generally hate single composer albums, much preferring single ensemble records, but I think a composer focused live experience works well.
  • Nortec music is my new favorite thing.
