  • Really great exploration of good guitar music recently released over at Big City
  • Why Kyle Gann likes musicology more than composition.
  • ASM is playing in Triangle, a sort of puppet musical, all this week.  A preview and tickets!
  • Nothing to do with music.  Bill Ayers on education.
  • Mikronesia – Contourist.  I sort of loved this.  I was having a bit of trouble streaming it, so I downloaded it and listened to it whole.
  • Mikael Trillo-Figueroa’s Surivolagemotyc.  He’s currently working on a new version of the piece.
  • “Before I Die”
  • Finally, Matthew Guerrieri discusses a recent New York article on NYC composers, many of which I’ve played on the show. His comments are a better read than the adjective laden New York piece, which seems like it might be a good primer for people unfamiliar with any of the names.
